RE: ACCEPTANCE OF ROADS AND STREETS FROM HIGHLAND HILLS SUB-
DIVISION INTO THE COUNTY ROAD SYSTEM FOR MAINTENANCE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Highland Hills Subdivision is located in Weld
County, Colorado in Section 15, Township 5 North, Range 66 West
of the 6th P.M. , more particularly described as follows :
Commencing at the center corner of Sec. 15, T 5N,
R 66 W of the 6th P.M. , thence S 89°50 ' 30" W a dis-
tance of 880. 00 ' to the true point of beginning;

WHEREAS, on August 16 , 1961, a Resolution was passed by the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, accepting
the dedication of perpetual right-of-way over the public roads ,
streets, highways, easements in the Second Addition to Highland
Hills Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, it is further stated in the Resolution of August 16,
1961, that Weld County will undertake maintenance of the roads
and streets in Highland Hills Subdivision after said roads and
streets have been constructed by the subdivider; however , no
standards for construction were ever established, nor was a
performance bond issued, and
WHEREAS, Frank Smith of the Weld County Department of
Engineering has informed the Board of County Commissioners that
the streets and roads in Highland Hills Subdivision are presently

• Board of County Commissioners, requiring the subdivider to up-
grade said streets and roads, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended to the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, by the Department of
Engineering, that said Board accept the streets and roads for
maintenance into the County Road System, with the understanding
that Weld County will not pave the roads, but will upgrade them
and improve the drainage where necessary for proper road
maintenance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of Weld County, that the roads and streets in
Highland Hills Subdivision be, and hereby are,accepted into
the County Road System for maintenance, subject to the condition
that Weld County will not pave the roads, but will upgrade them
and improve the drainage where necessary for proper maintenance
of the roads and streets.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly
made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 8th
day of August, A.D. , 1977 .
