Re: Temporary Expansion of Hours of Operation for Geisert Gravel Pit, USR-847
Dear Mr. Ogle,
Weld County Public Works is requesting that the Department of Planning Services approve a temporary
expansion for the hours of operation at the Geisert Gravel Pit. If approved, the hours of operation would be
expanded from daylight hours five days a week to daylight hours seven days a week, except in a public or private
emergency or to make necessary repairs to equipment.
The expanded hours of operation would last through approximately August of 2012 in order to facilitate the
construction of a slurry wall around the gravel pits. Upon completion of the slurry wall, the hours of operation
would revert to those approved for USR-847.
