RE: AWARDING CONTRACT REGARDING JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE
FORT LUPTON SERVICES BUILDING TO THERESA RODRIGUEZ FOR
THE INTERIOR AND TO HARRY L. KELLEY FOR THE EXTERIOR.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has been in-
formed of the arrangements for the janitorial services at the
Fort Lupton Services Building, and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the bidding procedure, the
low bid of $175. 00 per month from Theresa Rodriguez has been
accepted for the services rendered to the interior of the
Fort Lupton Services Building, and
WHEREAS, it has been noted that Mr. Harry L. Kelley has,
in the past, serviced the exterior of the Fort Lupton Services
Building, and the Board of County Commissioners is desirous
of retaining Mr. Kelley at the current rate of $60. 00 per
month for services to be rendered, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that if at any time Mr.
Harry L. Kelley is unable to continue services to the exterior
of the building, Theresa Rodriguez would be able to include
the exterior janitorial services for an additional $50 . 00 per
month over and above the $175. 00 for services rendered to the
interior of the building, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, deems it advisable to accept the arrangements as set
forth above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the contract for jani-
torial services for the Fort Lupton Services Building be, and
hereby is, awarded to Theresa Rodriguez for services to the
interior of the building, and to Harry L. Kelley for services
to the exterior of the building.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Chairman of the Board be,
and hereby is , authorized to sign the contracts , copies of which
are attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.

CONTRACT
THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this 6th day of
March, 1978, by and between THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, hereinafter referred to as County
and HARRY L. KELLEY, 115 McKinley Avenue, Fort Lupton,
Colorado, hereinafter referred to as Kelley. Harry L. Kelley
is to serve and perform such duties at such times and places
and in such manner as set forth below.
Kelley shall be responsible for the exterior maintenance
to the Fort Lupton Services Building for snow removal when
necessary and for maintaining the lawn as necessary to include
watering and mowing the grass.
In consideration of such services, the County agrees to
pay to Kelley compensation at the rate of SIXTY DOLLARS
($60. 00) per month. If at any time it is determined that
Kelley is unable to perform the duties as set forth herein,
upon notification of Kelley' s inability to perform, the County
will terminate this Contract.
This Contract shall be in effect until it is terminated by
either party at any time on ten (10) days notice to the other
party. Kelley shall be paid by the County to the date of
termination.
Kelley shall not be considered as an employee under the
Weld County Personnel System, but as an independent contractor,
and therefore, shall not be eligible for benefits such as
vacation leave, sick leave, health insurance, workman' s com-
pensation, life insurance, retirement, emergency leave, or
any other- benefits which would normally accrue to an employee
under the Weld County Personnel System
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this
agreement as of the date aforementioned.

CONTRACT
THIS CONTRACT, made and entered into this 6th day of
March, 1978 , by and between THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF WELD COUNTY, COLORADO, hereinafter referred to as the County
and THERESA RODRIGUEZ , 737 Hoover Avenue, Fort Lupton,
Colorado, hereinafter referred to as Rodriguez. Theresa
Rodriguez is to serve and perform such duties at such times and
places and in such manner as set forth below.
Rodriguez shall be responsible for the interior maintenance
of the Fort Lupton Services Building three times a week, three

hours a night to include vacuuming all carpets; emptying all
waste baskets; cleaning desk tops; cleaning restrnoms; washing
windows as need arises; cleaning hallways and washing and waxing
steps. The maintenance shall be performed after 5 : 00 p.m. All
cleaning supplies are to be furnished by the Weld County Buildings
and Grounds Department.
In consideration of such services, the County agrees to
pay to Rodriguez compensation at the rate of ONE HUNDRED AND
SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS ($175. 00) per month. If at any time the
individual maintaining the exterior of the Fort Lupton Services
Building desires to terminate its contract with the County,
it is understood and agreed that Rodriguez will be able to
maintain the exterior services of said Building as well at a
rate of $50. 00 additionally per month.
This Contract shall be in effect until it is terminated by
either party at any time on thirty (30) days notice to the other
party. Rodriguez shall be paid by the County to the date of
termination.
Rodriguez shall not be considered as an employee under the
Weld County Personnel System, but as an independent contractor,
and therefore, shall not be eligible for benefits such as vacation
leave, sick leave, health insurance, workman' s compensation, life
insurance, retirement, emergency leave, or any other benefits
which would normally accrue to an employee under the Weld County
Personnel System.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have executed this agree-
