WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of administering
the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Ernest D. Bower, Sheriff of Weld County, State of
Colorado, and/or his predecessors in office have accumulated many and
sundry items of personal property in the normal course of the duties of
the Sheriff's Office during the past several years, per attached Exhibit A
consisting of four(4) pages, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Motion and Court Order, copy of which is
attached hereto for ready reference, the Sheriff intends to dispose of such
personal property at public auction, and
WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be in the best interests of the
County that the Sheriff does sell said personal property in accordance with
the Court Order.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that Mr. Barton Buss, Director
of Management and Budget for Weld County, advertise the sale of said per-
sonal property pursuant to statutes governing Sheriff's sales; and that any
and all monies received from such sale shall be deposited in the County
General Fund.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 28th day of May, A.D. , 1975,.

MOTION FOR AUTHORIZATION TO HOLD SHERIFF'S SALE
ERNEST D. BOWER, Sheriff of Weld County, State of Colorado, for
the following reasons hereby moves this Court for an Order authorizing the
Sheriff of Weld County to hold a Sale of all property included in the four (4)
pages of Attachment "A ", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof
by reference.
1. THAT the property included in Attachment "A" has been accumu-
lated by the Sheriff's Office in the normal course of duties for the past several
years.
2. THAT none of the property included in Attachment "A " is needed
for any criminal prosecution.
3. THAT after diligent seach, the Sheriff's Office has been unable to
ascertain who the owners of the property are, other than Weld County Colorado,
or if the legal owners are known, to locate their whereabouts.
