We do not have an estimate of the number of Veterans from Hudson, but we feel that all Veterans should be recognized. The Memorial will not only provide a place to honor those who have served, but will provide a place to honor those that are currently serving and those that will serve in future generations. It will also be a place to hold ceremonies to commemorate Veterans. We need your help. Your donation will bring us closer to our goal of $44,900. Many business and community leaders are already on board. The Colorado Stone Quarries located in Marble, Colorado donated a 16,000# marble block for the center piece of the memorial. The marble block will proudly display insignias of the Military Branches, and the lighted United States Flag and State of Colorado Flag will fly on both sides of the block. Benches will be placed around the landscaped display. Engraved brick pavers and tiles will line the entryway to the Memorial. The customized engraved brick pavers and tiles are for personal Veteran or Military recognition and are available for purchase. Opportunities also exist to sponsor items for the Veterans Memorial site such as: • Four Benches @ $400.00 each • Two Flag Poles @ $800.00 each • Customized Brick Pavers @ $40.00 each • Customized Tiles @ $250.00 each • Labor Construction • Sod • Concrete • Electrical • Cash Contributions • Bronze Sponsor - $500.00 to $999.00 donation • Silver Sponsor - $1 ,000.00 to 2,499.00 donation • Gold Sponsor - $2,500.00 or greater donation Bronze, Silver and Gold Sponsors will be recognized on an engraved plaque. Our community is clearly excited and eager to see this project succeed. You can be a part of that excitement by supporting donation. We are happy to acknowledge your donation on our website and at our numerous events, (unless you prefer otherwise). Thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with the Town of Hudson Veteran's Memorial fund raiser. Charitable contributions to governmental units are tax-deductible under section 170(c)( 1 ) of the Internal Revenue Code if made for a public purpose. When we reach our goal of $44,900 for the Veteran's Memorial any excess funds will be used to replace playground equipment in the Hudson Memorial Park that was displaced by the Memorial project. The construction of this project is dependent upon available funds. We would like to start construction in the spring of 2012 with completion by Veteran's Day. If you have any questions regarding the Fund Raising efforts or the project itself, please feel free to contact Town Hall at 303-536-9311 , or email clerk@hudsoncolorado.org. Thank you, a Raymond L.
