RE: APPROVE NEW DESIGNATION OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE BOARD OF
APPEALS AS THE WELD COUNTY BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS, AND
APPOINTMENT AND REAPPOINTMENTS THERETO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #860894, dated September 10, 1986, the Board of Weld
County Commissioners ratified the Bylaws of the Uniform Building Code Board of Appeals, and
WHEREAS, the Board now deems it advisable to rename the Uniform Building Code
Board of Appeals as the newly designated Weld County Building Code Board of Appeals, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist on the Weld County Building Code Board of
Appeals, and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that Bill Delap be reappointed to said board as
the engineer representative; that Dale Lyman be reappointed to said board as the fire
department representative; that Mark Muse be reappointed to said board as the contractor
representative; and that Richard Spitler be appointed to said board as the electrical
representative, to replace Larry Jorgensen, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable to reappoint Bill Delap and Dale Lyman to
said board, with terms to expire December 31, 2012, nunc pro tunc December 31, 2009; to
reappoint Mark Muse, with a term to expire December 31, 2013, nunc pro tunc December 31,
2010; and to appoint Richard Spitler to said board, with a term to expire December 31, 2011.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the Uniform Building Code Board of Appeals be, and hereby is,
designated as the Weld County Building Code Board of Appeals.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Bill Delap, Dale Lyman, and Mark Muse
be, and hereby are, reappointed to the Weld County Building Code Board of Appeals, with
terms to expire December 31, 2012, and December 31, 2013, respectively, nunc pro tunc
December 31, 2009, and December 31, 2010, respectively.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that Richard Spitler be, and hereby is,
appointed to the Weld County Building Code Board of Appeals, with a term to expire
December 31, 2011.
