We do believe that this would be of great help to Aims and to potential student who are choosing to go into the emergency service field. Please advise if you would like to have a work session regarding this. 0 - Barb Connolly From: Dave Bressler Sent: Friday, May 13, 2011 11:59 AM To: Barb Connolly Cc: Monica Mika; Bruce Barker; William Garcia Subject: Aims Ambulance Donation Attachments: image003.png; image002.png Barb: Aims Community College EMS / Fire Division has inquired about the possibility of Weld County Government donating an ambulance to used as a mobile skills lab. Weld County has previously donated units once they are decommissioned to training centers for this type of use. As you are aware these units are normally sold at auction or taken in trade, with minimal value to Weld County. Weld County Paramedic Services has always maintained a strong working relationship with Aims College. We recruit a number of our new employees through their training programs along with our Ride-Along Program. Additionally we use Aims as our training center to meet all requirements for continuing education and recertification. Allowing Aims College the opportunity to utilize one of our vehicles will provide them a tool not currently available to them due to cost. A number of our employees work as part time instructors at Aims and feel that they could enhance the learning atmosphere and better prepare the students for a career in emergency services with this donation. Please let me know how you would like to proceed.
