The Building Departments main concerns deal with the structures lack of a fire sprinkler system versus the amount of people who are going to attend the event. The estimated occupants are 840 attendees and 30 staff per the table layout and floor plan. The 2006 International Building Code section 903.2.1.2 will only allow 99 people to occupy the building for an assembly that is serving alcohol if there is not a sprinkler system installed. The inspections are required by the IBC section 105.1 to insure that the exit signs are placed properly, so there is clear and easy access to vacate the building in a quick and safe manner in the event of a fire, and reduce/eliminate the electrical hazards.
