L. h<SiNP otAINC DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS DENVER 22, COLORADO March 5, 1959 Board of'County;Commissioners Weld County Courthouse • Greeley, Colorado • - Gentlemen:- The Bureau of Public Roads approved on February 26, 1959, the revision in routing and change in the western terminus of Federal Aid Secondary Route No. 26 in Weld and Morgan Counties. This change abandoned the routing from its western terminus with Federal Aid Primary Route No. 7 west of the Morgan-Weld County line easterly for 3 miles to a point 2.1 miles south of Orchard and designated the routing from the point to 2.1 miles south of Orchard southerly for 2.15 miles to a connection with Federal Aid Primary Route 7 east of the Morgan Weld County line. This change in the Federal Aid Secondary System was concurred in by your Board through. a Joint Resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Morgan County on January 19, 1959. • The change in the State Highway designation of Route 144 was approved pproved by Resolution No. 693-C passed by the State Highway Commission on February 9, 1959, effective upon approval of the change in the Federal Aid Secondary routing by the Bureau of Public Roads. ARKANSAS AVE. y p. qi<31N~14 .• DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS DENVER 221 COLORADO April 6, 1969 Board of County Commissioners Weld County Greeley, Colorado Gentlemen: In connection with the State Highway routings in Weld and Morgan Counties we are enclosing, herewith, one (1) copy of Resolution No. 693.-C approved February 9, 1959, effective February 26, 1959, together with a copy of the Weld and Morgan County maps, upon which have been indicated in color the additions and deletions to the State Highway System resulting therefrom. This Resolution is forwarded for your information and file. If it is the desire of your board that the abandoned portion should remain public highway, your board should adopt the necessary resolution to add it to your county system, as the 1953 Colorado Statutes Annotated, Chapter 202, Section 6 states that the right-of- way of all abandoned portions of a state highway shall revert to the adjacent property owners, unless the abandoned portions are necessary for use as a public highway and a resolution so stating is adopted by the County Board of Commissioners within ninety days of the abandonment as part of the State Highway System. Liv gs n REL:JRM:bjc Planning & Resea Engineer Enclosure • • • Resolution No. 693-C • Approved February 9, 1959 • RESOLUTION • BE IT RESOLVED, that County Secondary Road No. 1 from a point southwest of Orchard, southerly to a junction with State Highway No. 16 be declared a part of the State Highway System, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that present State Highway No. 11414 from a point southwest of Orchard, southwesterly to a junction with State Highway No. 16 be abandoned. This change of State Highway routing to be effective upon the approval of the Federal Aid Secondary Route change by the U. S. Bureau of Public Roads.
