REMARKS:
The Aid to Dependent Children caseload continues to reflect seasonal increases. This load
increased by 48 households during March. Yet the total ADC caseload remains slightly be-
low the number carried in March, 1976. Other caseloads did not show remarkable changes
•
during March.
Public Assistance expenditures (excluding Pension cases) were $501 ,979. This amount was
$14,782 more than the preceding month and $18,517 more than the same month in 1976. In-
flation and the seasonal increase in the ADC caseload are the main reasons for increased
costs.
