RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING EXTENSION OF OIL AND GAS LEASE
COVERING CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO - NE1/4,
S31, T9N, R60W
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County is the owner of vast mineral lands located in Weld County,
Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on March 30, 2011, Noble Energy, 1625 Broadway, Suite 2200, Denver,
Colorado 80202, submitted a request to extend the lease of 160.0 net mineral acres, more or less,
described to-wit:
NE1/4, Section 31, Township 9 North, Range 60
West of the 6th P.M., Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County reviewed the request submitted by Noble Energy, to extend the
lease on the above-described mineral acreage for $70.00 per net mineral acre, for a total sum of
$11,200.00, together with a rental fee of one dollar($1.00) per net mineral acre,which is to run for a
period of six (6) months, commencing at twelve o'clock noon on October 27, 2011, and ending at
twelve o'clock noon on April 27, 2012, and the Board determined it would like to continue the matter
to April 25, 2011, at 9:00 a.m., in order to allow adequate time for the Board to conduct a work
session on the matter, and
WHEREAS, on April 25, 2011, after review, the Board deems it advisable to continue the
mailer to May 16, 2011, at 9:00 a.m., in order to allow Bruce Barker, County Attorney, adequate time
to further discuss the matter with Noble Energy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the request submitted by Noble Energy, to extend the lease on the
above-described mineral acreage for $70.00 per net mineral acre, for a total sum of $11,200.00,
together with a rental fee of one dollar ($1.00) per net mineral acres, which is to run for a period of
six (6) months, commencing at twelve o'clock noon on October 27, 2011, and ending at twelve
o'clock noon on April 27, 2012, be, and hereby is, continued to May 16, 2011, at 9:00 a.m.
