RE: ACCEPT TRANSFER OF TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES
(TANF) ALLOCATION FROM LINCOLN COUNTY AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
ANY NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has received a letter from the
Colorado Works Allocation Committee, dated June 13, 2011, indicating approval of the transfer
of $40,000.00 of Lincoln County's SFY2010-11 TANF allocation to Weld County, in accordance
with Colorado law and regulations, and
WHEREAS, Weld County is in need of such funds and agrees to take responsibility for
the corresponding Maintenance of Effort (MOE), and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to accept the transfer of
$40,000.00 in TANF allocations from Lincoln County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the transfer of $40,000.00 of Lincoln County's Temporary
Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Allocation to Weld County be, and hereby is, accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign any necessary documents to effectuate the transfer.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted

The Colorado Works Allocation Committee has approved the transfer of$40,000 of Lincoln County's
SFY2010-11 TANF allocation to Weld County. Weld County has agreed to take responsibility for the
