East bound traffic would be stopped on CR 60 at CR 55.5. The traffic count for CR 60 was taken in May 2008 with an AADT of 31. The traffic count for CR 55.5 was taken in December 2011 with an AADT of 137 both county roads are gravel roads. The Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) section 26.04 suggests that stop signs should be placed at an intersection of a less important road with a main road where application of the normal right-of-way rule would not be expected to provide reasonable compliance with the law. Public Works recommends that traffic be stopped on CR 60 & CR 55.5 in the east bound direction due to the traffic volumes in the area. 2012-1193 May 1,2O12 C\Documents and Settings\dbechler\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content Outlook\HDO4AU84\BOCC 050112 SS.DOC Hello
