The Weld County Council met in regular session in full conformity with the vveld-uount A C 13
Home Rule Charter, Monday, January 16, 2012, 6:30 p.m. at the Weld CountvE C E I V E D
Administration Building, Greeley, CO.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by President Don Mueller.
Councilwomen Ginny Buczek and Perry Buck and Councilmen John Kivimaki and
Charles Tucker were present, constituting a quorum of members. Also present was
Council Secretary Karla Ford.
2012 COUNCIL PRESIDENT ELECTION:
Council President Mueller asked for nominations for 2012 Council President.
Councilwoman Buck made a motion to nominate Councilman Tucker for the 2012
Council President. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kivimaki and carried.
2012 COUNCIL VICE PRESIDENT ELECTION:
Councilman Mueller asked for nominations for 2012 Council Vice President.
Councilman Kivimaki made a motion to nominate Councilwoman Buczek to be the 2012
Council Vice President. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Buck and carried.
APPROVAL OF DOCUMENTATION:
January 16, 2012 Agenda
Councilwoman Buczek made a motion to approve the January 16, 2012 agenda with an
amendment to change her mileage from $158.00 to $63.66. The motion was seconded
by Councilman Kivimaki and carried.
December 19, 2011 Minutes
Councilman Kivimaki made a motion to approve the December 19, 2011 minutes. The
motion was seconded by Councilwoman Buck and carried.
2011 4th Quarter Report to the People
Councilwoman Buczek made a motion to approve the 2011 4th Quarter Report to the
People. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Buck and carried.
Adopt Resolution 189
Councilman Kivimaki made a motion to adopt Weld County Resolution 189 which states
the 2012 Weld County Council meetings be held on the third Monday of each month,
except in February 2012 when the meeting will be held on the second Monday. The
meetings will be held at 6:30 p.m. The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Buck
and carried.
PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no public comment.

NEW BUSINESS:
2012 Council Coordinators Assignments
The following Council Coordinator Assignments for 2012 are as follows:
Department of Finance and Administration — Councilwoman Buck
Department of Health Services — Councilman Mueller
Department of Planning — Councilman Tucker
Department of Public Works — Councilman Kivimaki
Department of Human Services — Councilwoman Buczek
Councilman Mueller made a motion to approve the assignments as stated. The motion
was seconded by Councilman Kivimaki and carried.
2012 Weld County Council Locations
The council will meet at the Weld County Administration Building, 1150 "O" Street,
Greeley, CO for its monthly meetings with the following exceptions: April 16 and
November 19, 2012 which will be held at the Southwest Weld County Services Complex
Building; May 21, 2012 which will be held at the Keenesburg Town Hall; July 16, 2012
which will be held at the Pierce Fire Department; and October 15, 2012 which will be
held at the Hudson Town Hall. These are all subject to change due to availability.
2012 Council Review Programs and Meeting Planners
The following assignments were made for council meeting review planners:
Councilman Kivimaki: February 13th—Weld Clerk and Recorder, April 16th — State of
Colorado Demographer, July 16th —Weld County Public Works.
Councilman Mueller: March 19th —Weld County Food Inspection, November 19th —
Weld County Treasurer.
Councilwoman Buczek: May 21St—Weld County Assessor, August 20th — North
Colorado Regional Forensic Laboratory, September 17th —Weld County Human
Services.
Councilwoman Buck: December 17th — Commissioner Conway.
Councilman Tucker: June 18th — Greeley/Weld Airport, October 15th —Weld County
Planning.
Newspaper Subscriptions
The list of current newspaper subscriptions was discussed. The secretary will look at
the cost of electronic version of The Greeley Tribune and the Longmont Times-Call as
well as look at cost of Lost Creek Guide. This will be discussed at the next meeting.
Review Web Page Information
The secretary distributed current personal information from the webpage and requested
any updates be submitted by the end of the meeting.
ACS Submitted Project for Weld County Council
ACS will be replacing the Weld County Council computer during the 2012 year. It will
replace current laptop.
Coordinator Reports
Councilman Mueller heard Commissioner Conway speak about a water update at a
republican meeting. Councilwoman Buck gave an overview of the Northern Colorado
Legislative Alliance meeting that was held. Councilwoman Buczek gave information
about the Northern Colorado Economic Business Report luncheon she attended.

Upcoming Meetings/Events
The Council was invited to the Longmont Unity in the Community meeting on February
23`d.
Payment of Bills
Councilman Kivimaki made a motion to pay bills as listed below:
Mileage for Councilman Charles Tucker $ 18.19
Mileage for Councilwoman Ginny Buczek $ 63.66
Mileage for Councilman John Kivimaki $ 50.02
Mileage for Councilwoman Perry Buck $ 22.47
NCLA Legislative Preview Registration - Buczek $ 18.00
The motion was seconded by Councilwoman Buck and passed.
