Marcia,
The low bidder in this case: Pro Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram from Thornton, is not recommended
for selection. They did not provide a bid per specifications requested. This bid was for a
standard cab truck, and not for the requested club, or supercab truck.
The second lowest bid provided by Dellenbach Motors in Fort Collins is recommended for
selection.This bid meets all bid specifications; (1) 2012 Chevy Silverado 4x4, Extended or club
cab truck- 5.3L v8 with a shell/topper included in the bid price at $26,168.00.
This provides us with the best platform for our work because:
1. The lower truck bed height (33.9 in) ergonomically friendly for loading/unloading
coroner cots.
2. The 4x4 transmission will facilitate the extreme weather conditions, off-road locations,
and disaster locations we must pull up to.
3. The extended cab enables us to store supplies in the cab of the vehicle.
4. The included topper is a cost savings over comparable bids received.
The 4th lowest bid provided by Weld County Garage is also acceptable.
The Coroner requests that the bid from Dellenbach Motors in Fort Collins at $26,168.00 be
approved.
