I have spoken directly with Grace Taylor who represented PVHS last August in their discussions with the Weld Co Commissioners. I have attached the letter that was sent to the Commissioners at that time. The RFP was not responded to because of it being divisive as it separated Greeley services from county services and PVHS thought that was not in the best interest of WCPS and the entirety of Weld County. It seems she was directed by the Commissioners aclrYivuiun/C a1 y-=23- O/02., 2012-1072 to work directly with WCPS which was being done between Steve Main and Dave Braessler. There was no discussion of WCPS being "sold" or taken over with anyone in Senior Mgmt at PVHS at that time. PVHS EMS and WCPS have had an excellent and collaborative working relationship for years and PVHS was supporting that as directed by you, the commissioners. Clearly the facts here are not consistent. You stated what sealed the deal was that 3 things needed to happen. I am certain that PVHS EMS would have been quite willing to meet these 3 requirements and perhaps have paid more for your assets. The bottom line is that no one knows because this was not done openly for the public to see. Why was there a fear in allowing other entities to improve upon this offer? I respectfully request that the vote on this issue be delayed until the public can openly and honestly review the details and facts. If NCMC and Banner continue to have the most to offer, so be it. It is in the best interest of the Weld county residents for the facts to be shared and the value of this important asset maximized. Please let me know your thoughts.
