RE: ANNUAL MEETING AND 2013 BUDGET HEARING-BEEBE DRAW LAW ENFORCEMENT
AUTHORITY
A public hearing was conducted on December 12, 2012, at 9:00 a.m., with the following present:
Commissioner Sean P. Conway, Chair
Commissioner William F. Garcia, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher
Also present:
Acting Clerk to the Board, Esther E. Gesick
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Director of Budget and Management Analysis, Donald D. Warden
The following business was transacted:
El I hereby certify that pursuant to a notice dated November 7, 2012, and duly published
November 12, 2012, in the Greeley Tribune, the Annual Meeting of the Beebe Draw Law
Enforcement Authority Board was conducted, and a public hearing was conducted to consider the
proposed 2013 Budget for the Weld County Beebe Draw Law Enforcement Authority(LEA)District.
Donald Warden, Director of Budget and Management Analysis, recommended approval of the
budget, in the amount of$14,454.00, assessed at 7.0 mills.
El No public testimony was offered concerning this matter.
El Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the Resolution to Adopt the Budget, in the
amount of $14,454.00. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Long, and it carried
unanimously.
Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the Resolution to Appropriate Sums of Money.
Commissioner Garcia seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
lEi Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the Resolution to Set the Mill Levy,at 7.0 mills.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Long, and it carried unanimously.
El Commissioner Rademacher moved to approve the Law Enforcement Agreement and authorize
the Chair to sign. Commissioner Garcia seconded the motion. In response to Commissioner
Kirkmeyer, Mr.Warden stated the agreement may be terminated allowing for a contract with another
entity; however, that would be subject to the Board's approval. There being no further discussion,
the motion carried unanimously.
