ORDINANCE NO. 55
IN THE MATTER OF A SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR THE YEAR 1979.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WELD COUNTY,
COLORADO:

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,

Colorado has been advised that expenditures from the General
Fund will exceed the budgetary appropriation for the year 1979,
as more fully set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incor-
porated herein by this reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
cy, Colorado has been advised that the expenditures from the I.G.S.

0,' Computer Services Fund will exceed the budgetary appropriation
for the year 1979, as more fully set forth in Exhibit "B"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has been advised that the expenditures from the Road
and Bridge Fund will exceed the budgetary appropriation for the
year 1979, as more fully set forth in Exhibit "C" attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has been advised that the expenditures from the Health
Services Fund will exceed the budgetary appropriation for the
year 1979, as more fully set forth in Exhibit "D" attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has been advised that the expenditures from the I .G. S.
Motor Pool Fund will exceed the budgetary appropriation for the
year 1979, as more fully set forth in Exhibit "E" attached hereto
and incorporated herein by reference, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has been advised that the expenditures from the Human
Resources Fund will exceed the budgetary appropriation for the
year 1979, as more fully set forth in Exhibit "F" attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and

WHEREAS, this is a case of an emergency caused by a contin-
gency which could not have been reasonably foreseen at the time
of the adoption of the 1979 budget, and
WHEREAS, by Section 29-1-114, CRS 1973, as amended, the
governing body of a county does, in an emergency situation, have
authority for the expenditure of funds in excess of said budget,
by ordinance, duly adopted by a two-third (2/3) vote of the
members of said governing body.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the budgetary appropria-
tion to the 1979 General Fund, I.G.S . Computer Services Fund,
Road and Bridge Fund, Health Services Fund, I.G.S. Motor Pool
Fund, and Human Resources Fund, as evidenced by Exhibits "A, "
"B, " "C, " "D, " "E, " and "F, " which are attached hereto and
incorporated by reference at this point, which was made necessary
by an emergency caused by a contingency which could not have
been reasonably foreseen at the time of the adoption of the 1979
Budget be, and herey are, approved.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that an emergency exists which requires
that this Supplemental Appropriation Ordinance No. 55 is declared
to be an emergency Ordinance under the provisions of Section 3-14
of the Weld County Home Rule Charter.
The above and foregoing Ordinance was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of
June, A.D. , 1979.
