RE: AUTHORIZATION FOR COUNTY ATTORNEY TO CONDEMN PROPERTIES FOR
COUNTY ROAD 13.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Weld County proposes to construct an extension of
the public highway known as County Road 13, south of the existing
County Road 18 , said extension to run along the western edge of
the Town of Firestone, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, certain properties must be acquired from their
present owners in order to construct the road, and
WHEREAS, the County has been unable to acquire, through
negotiations with the land owners, the properties owned by
Joseph and Joyce Jones, and by Dacono Investment Company for the
construction of County Road 13, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the public to proceed
with the construction of County Road 13 as expeditiously as possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the County Attorney be
authorized to initiate condemnation proceedings against the
following described properties:
Joseph and Joyce Jones Property:

quarter of Section 36, Township 2 North, Range 68
West, of the Sixth Principal Meridian, Weld County,
Colorado, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of said Section 36;
Thence N 00°00'51" W along the east line of said
Section 36 a distance of 120.20 feet to a point on
the northerly right-of-way line of Colorado State
Highway 52;
Thence N 89°52'51" W along said right-of-way line

Thence continuing along said right-of-way line on
