HomeMy WebLinkAbout751068.tiff Coordinator of Interior Affairs The Board of County Commissioners shall appoint a Coordinator of Interior Affairs. The appointment shall be for an indefinite term and the County Coordinator of Interior Affairs shall serve at the pleasure of a majority of the Board of County Commissioners. The County Coordinator of Interior Affairs shall be chosen on the basis of administrative qualifications in the field of finance, budget control, purchasing and personnel. The County Coordinator of Interior Affairs may be removed at any time by resolution of the Board of County Commissioners. Any action removing the County Coordinator of Interior Affairs shall name an acting County Coordinator of Interior Affairs to serve until a new County Coordinator of Interior Affairs has been appointed. The County Coordinator of Interior Affairs shall on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners act as Chief Accounting Officer of the County and manage, supervise, coordinate and direct the activities of the department of budget, central purchasing, accounting, personnel and data processing. He shall be responsible to the Board of Commissioners for the proper execution and administration and functioning of the affairs of the above described departments of Weld County, including the performance by the respective departments and office of those functions, duties and services permitted or required by this charter and of such further services and duties as may be assigned to him by the Board of County Commissioners. The County Coordinator of Interior Affairs shall : 1. Cause the policies adopted or approved by the Board of County Commissioners to be implemented in those departments as required by the Board of County Commissioners and e.nyaH6 that the activities of those departments are consistent with the policies determined and set by the Board of County Commissioners. • • 2. Supervise and direct the preparation of the budget. 3. Exercise control over purchases and expenditures and keep the Board of County Commissioners advised of the financial condition and future needs of the county. 4.
