(�r�� WHEREAS, on February 7, 2012, there was an auto accident at 8th Avenue and �,f., ,. -�
" 13'h Street in Greeley, Colorado, at which time Weld County Public Works (
Mining Division employees Scott Crawford and Kevin Rouse were en-route to •f
F their assigned work area, and
4 o>p 'j WHEREAS, Mr. Crawford and Mr. Rouse recognized the seriousness of the �4o)
situation, checked vehicle occupants, used their truck to block the intersection, "^
and turned on their overhead lights to warn oncoming motorists, and /

f n WHEREAS, thanks to their First Aid instruction as part of their extensive
L Mining training, Mr. Crawford and Mr. Rouse recognized the severity of one of " 3
> the drivers' injuries and carefully used the items in their First Aid kit to slow the ((t a(\.47,-7.;:tvictim's profuse bleeding and keep the victim conscious by talking to him until
paramedics arrived, and
> 11 WHEREAS, without the actions of Mr. Crawford and Mr. Rouse and their
i > timely intervention,the victim's injuries could have been critical. ((
