RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENT OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #2009-3307, dated December 16, 2009, and pursuant to
Section 3-7(1) of the Weld County Home Rule Charter, the Board of Weld County Commissioners
appointed Bruce Barker as the Weld County Clerk to the Board, to be the custodian of the County
seal, and records and papers of the Board of County Commissioners; maintain a journal and record
of Board proceedings; record all motions, resolutions, actions of and votes by the Board; be the
agent of the County for service of process; and perform such other duties as, are now, or may
hereafter be, prescribed by law for Clerks of Boards of County Commissioners or by the Weld
County Home Rule Charter, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Weld County Commissioners desires to transfer said title from
Mr. Barker to Monica Daniels-Mika, in addition to her duties and responsibilities as the Director of
the Department of Finance and Administration, effective as of October 8, 2012.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by Board of Weld County Commissioners that,
effective October 8, 2012, Monica Daniels-Mika be, and hereby is, appointed the Clerk to the Board,
in addition to her duties and responsibilities as the Director of the Department of Finance and
Administration.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 8th day of October, A.D., 2012.

APPOINTMENT OF CLERK TO THE BOARD, WITH OATH
THIS IS TO CERTIFY, that we appoint Monica Daniels-Mika as Clerk to the Board in and for
Weld County, State of Colorado, with full power and authority to act in this position, unless this
appointment should be sooner revoked.
