RE: Marathon Oil Proposed Wells on Weld County Section 16 Twn. 8 Range 67
Dear Commissioners,
The location of the proposed wells,adjacent to our land, is very close to our water well. We are
very concerned about our water well contamination. The town of Erie, Colorado is implementing its
own air and water quality rules for oil and natural gas drilling operations. We,as private land
owners not within the city limits of any municipality, must depend upon our state government and
land commissioners to protect the interests of its citizens. We understand the importance of
economic development at this time of extended difficult economic conditions in our state,the
nation and globally. However,our rights to protect our property with no possible loss of use or
hazard from contamination as result of these proposed wells are of great concern to us. Again,
these proposed well sites are VERY close to our well water and our property in general.
We are requesting that an abundance of caution be used so that,we as land owners do not sustain
negative impact.
