RESOLUTION
RE: APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT TO THE SCIENTIFIC UNIT DEVELOPMENT
PLAN OF THE NATIONAL OCEANIC ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION/
NATIONAL CENTER OF ATMOSPHERIC RESEARCH.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
L Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home

r- Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the

affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and

,o WHEREAS, on February 23, 1976, the Board of County Commis-
sioners of Weld County, Colorado approved the Scientific Unit
Development Plan for NOAA/NCAR, and
- WHEREAS, the Department of Planning Services of Weld County,
—i Colorado has informed the Board of County Commissioners of the
proposed amendment to said Scientific Unit Development Plan, more
specifically, Development Standard 2 .C. - Portable Office, and
WHEREAS, a representative of NOAA has explained the intent
of certain laboratory modules to be temporarily used during con-
struction of the permanent NCAR building, and
WHEREAS, it has been pointed out to the Board of County Com-
missioners that the type of laboratory modules to be used do not
meet the Uniform Building Code standards , and
WHEREAS, after careful review and consideration of the facts
presented, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado has determined that the amendment to the Scientific Unit
Development Plan can be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the amendment to the
Scientific Unit Development be, and hereby is, approved.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of
October, A.p. , 1977 .
