CHARTER RECOMMENDATIONS
COUNTY RELATIONS WITH MUNCIPALITIES
LOCAL IMPROVEMENT, DISTRICTS , REGIONAL
COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENT
March 19, 1975
1 . Feasibility studies be made for counties to reinburse towns for
mill levy tax collection for which no County service is rendered.
2. County-town liaison established by County Commissioners for the
purpose of co-ordinating possible County and Municipality functions .
3. Authorize County Commissioners to enter into Contracts with
Municipalities on matters of public interest and joint ventures .
A. Airports , parks , ambulance service etc .
B. County-City funding
C . Roads and bridges
D. Planning Studies and assistance
E. Health Service
F. Inspections
G Law enforcement
4. Weld County participate in C .O,G . .:as. .per the present Charter-
by-laws . Any charter changes must have County Commissioners
approval .
