Dear Judy:
Thank you for submitting the Weld County Human Services 2012 preliminary budget to the Colorado
Department of Human Services, (CDHS) for review. CRS 26-1-124(2) requires CDHS to review the
preliminary budget before adoption by the Board of County Commissioners. The Division of Field
Administration is responsible for fulfilling this requirement.
The purpose of this review is to determine if the county has sufficient local funds appropriated to meet
the Maintenance of Effort (MOE) for the Colorado Works and the Colorado Child Care Assistance
programs. In addition,the Division reviews the fund balance and mill levy to determine adequate local
funding.
Based on the budget as submitted,Weld County has budgeted sufficient MOE for Colorado Works and
the Colorado Child Care Assistance program.
