RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING ESTABLISHING DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S
SALARY FOR YEARS BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2013, THROUGH DECEMBER 31,
2016
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 20-1-301, C.R.S., sets a minimum salary of $130,000.00 for the
District Attorney for every judicial district, and states that any amount paid in excess of the State
minimum salary shall be set by the Board of County Commissioners of the county or counties
comprising the judicial district, and
WHEREAS, the Board deemed it advisable to continue the matter to October 15, 2012,
to allow additional time to conduct a work session, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that consideration of the salary for the District Attorney for the
Nineteenth Judicial District be, and hereby is, continued to October 15, 2012.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 1st day of October, A.D., 2012.
