,. WHEREAS, Alzheimer's is an incurable and fatal brain disease that causes memory
loss, disorientation, decreased judgment, and difficulty speaking, and
WHEREAS, more than five million Americans are now living with Alzheimer's
4 s disease; 72,000 people in Colorado alone, and 227,000 care partners who provide
unpaid care are home valued at upwards of $3 billion, and
fit!
WHEREAS, the care provided by family caregivers helps offset the impact on our d
community budgets at a time we can ill afford the rising cost of healthcare, and

WHEREAS, with early detection and diagnosis, individuals and families can gain ,
r access to treatment medications, enroll in critical research trials, fully participate in
1 planning for the future, and receive help and support from the Alzheimer's
