HomeMy WebLinkAbout20122241.tiff WELD COUNTY E-911 EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE AUTHORITY BOARD May 29, 2012 The Weld County E-911 Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board conducted a phone-in meeting at 11:30 May 29, 2012. ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by Vice-Chair Gary Sandau. Members present by phone conference Mitch Wagy, Kevin Halloran, Brian Skaggs, Gary Sandau and Steve Reams. Doug Rademacher represented Barbara Kirkmeyer. Staff members present were Mike Savage, Dave Mathis and Susan Johnson. Monica Mika, Patrick Groom, Bruce Barker, Commissioner Long, Commissioner Conway and Commissioner Garcia were also present by phone. Mike Savage was asked to consolidate three Motorola maintenance service agreements into one. The contract covers Radio/Tower infrastructure, Consoles, NICE recorder, Plant hardware support, Plant software support and NM client. The proposed amount totals $1,302,147.36 for a 3 year term (or $434,049.12 per year). Breakdown per agency: E-911 $276,460 County $133,760 City $ 30,400 The contract only includes existing equipment. When the simulcast system is deployed that will be under warranty for the first year and then a maintenance agreement will be added. Bruce Barker requested that all three entities (County, City, E-911) be represented on the contract instead of E-911 only, so other partners do not need to go through 911 to get technical help. Mitch Wagy moved, Brian Skaggs seconded a motion to approve the Service Agreement with Motorola in the amount of$1,302,147.36 for a term of 3 years. After further discussion, the motion was amended to include the City and County signatures on the contract. Voting: Reams, yes; Skaggs, yes; Statler, yes; Halloran, yes; Wagy, yes. None opposed, motion was approved. The County Commissioners will meet tomorrow (May 31“) to approve and sign the contract. Mike will get the contract to the City of Greeley and to Gary Sandau to sign as the Vice Chairman by close of business tomorrow. Meeting adjourned 11:50 2012-2241 Hello
