The recommendations for award per category are as follows: Corrugated Metal Pipe Recommend the low bid submitted by Big R Bridge for both round and arch pipe be approved and awarded with the exception of the arch culverts 48" and larger. We recommend these sizes be awarded to the next low bidder, DBE Manufacturing. For several years there has been a problem with the joints not matching up on the arch culverts 48" and larger which were purchased from Big R Bridge. For this reason, we recommend the arch culverts 48" and larger be purchased from DBE Manufacturing. Corrugated Plastic Pipe Recommend the low bid submitted by DBE Manufacturing for all plastic pipe be approved and awarded. MISCELLANEOUS STEEL PRODUCTS Beam Sections Recommend the low bid submitted by DBE Manufacturing be approved and awarded. Steel Piling Recommend the low bid from Norfolk Iron be accepted and awarded. Steel Angles Recommend the low bid from DBE Manufacturing be accepted and awarded. Black Pipe, Tubing Recommend the low bid submitted by Norfolk Iron be approved and awarded for black pipe and tubing. Flat Plate Norfolk Iron was the low bidder but they bid widths up to 1" only and do not meet bid specifications. We recommend the flat plate be awarded to the next low bidder, DBE Manufacturing. Channel Iron Recommend the low bid submitted by DBE Manufacturing be approved and awarded. Fabricated Guard Rail Posts, Guard Rail, Guard Rail Ends, Curved Guard Rail Sections, Half Wrap Buffer End Sections Recommend the low bid submitted by DBE Manufacturing be approved and awarded for all guard rail products.
