HomeMy WebLinkAbout20120401.tiff MEMORANDUM TO: Board of Commissioners DATE: February 15, 2012 GOU,NT• FROM: Pat Persichino, Director of Public Works SUBJECT: 2012 Concrete/Washed Rock/Squeegee, B1200046 The Public Works Department recommends that the Board of County Commissioners award the washed rock to the lowest bidders, Varra Companies for northern Weld County at a price of$11.00 per ton and Martin Marietta Materials for southern Weld County at a price of$11.00 per ton. The Public Works Department recommends that the bid for squeegee be awarded to the lowest bidders, Varra Companies for northern Weld County at a price of$2.50 per ton and L.G. Everist for southern Weld County at a price of$1.70 per ton. The Public Works Department recommends that all concrete be awarded to Varra Companies for both northern and southern Weld County. They are the lowest bidder based on a cost comparison of two yards of material including minimum load charges. We typically order between 2-4 yards of material for most projects. The prices are: Class B for northern and southern Weld County is $89.00 per yard; Class D for northern and southern Weld County is $94.00 per yard; Flow Fill for northern and southern Weld County is $60.00 per yard.
