RE : ACTION OF BOARD CONCERNING EXPRESSION OF OPPOSITION TO
COLORADO CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT 64 WHICH SEEKS TO LEGALIZE
THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF LIMITED AMOUNTS OF MARIJUANA
BY PERSONS TWENTY-ONE YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado , pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County , Colorado, and
WHEREAS , the Board has been presented with a Resolution opposing Amendment 64
and the legalization of marijuana for recreational use , and
WHEREAS, on August 13 , 2012 , the Board deemed it advisable to continue said matter
to allow additional time for revision and review of said Resolution .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County , Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is , continued to
August 22 , 2012 , at 9 : 00 a . m .
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made and seconded , adopted
by the following vote on the 13th day of August, A. D. , 2012 .
