CONSENT AGENDA/COMMUNICATION
Re: Contract#08CAA00014 with the Colorado Department of Corrections(DOC)
Option Letter#11
Enclosed is notification from the Department of Corrections detailing changes in our ongoing
contract amount for the delivery of Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) services to local
offenders under the care of the DOC (parolees, etc). Through oversight by the Weld County
Community Corrections Board and Justice Services, Weld County sub-contracts with local
agencies B1, Inc. and Rocky Mountain Offender Management Systems, LLC. The contract value
was decreased by$15,000 to a new contract value of$91,000 for the current state fiscal year.
This decrease is based on utilization rates of these local offenders as referred by the DOC to
these sub-contracted agencies.
As a side note, Weld County retains 2%of these total funds (if fully expended) for our
administrative support assistance. The contract allows the DOC to make changes during the
term of the contract and they do not require acknowledgement or approval by the Board of
County Commissioners.

The Colorado Department of Corrections projected the expenses for your services for the balance of
the fiscal year and found it necessary to reduce the contract amount.The amount changed and the
effective date will be found in the Option Letter.

a.Change in the amount of goods or services within current term.
b. In accordance. with Section 2.3 of the Original Contract routing number
Ot3CAA00014, CMS 1 23082 between the State of Colorado, Department of Corrections
and Weld County,coveting the period of July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012, the State
hereby exercises its option for an decrease in the amount of goods or services at the
same rates as specified in the Section 2.1 of the Contract.
The amount of Fiscal Year 12 contract value is decreased by $15,000.00 In a new
contract value of $91,000.00 as consideration for services ordered under the contract
for the current fiscal year 2012. The first sentence in Section 2.1 is hereby modified
accordingly. The total contract value including all previous amndments, option letters.
etc. is$476,378.00.
c. I lie effective date of this Option Letter is upon approval of the State Controller
or January 13, 2012, whichever is later.
