The operations at the subject site will include storage and maintenance of excavation equipment, semi trucks and water tanks. The excavation equipment is only in the yard for service and remains on the jobsite or is moved from job to job. The trucks leave in the morning and return in the evening. The existing building will be used as a maintenance shop for equipment and trucks. The south end of the existing shop will be converted to office space utilizing approximately 2400 sq/ft. Hours of operation are 6 am to 7 pm monday thru saturday. Maintenance activity may occur in the shop 7 days per week, 24 hrs per day as necessary. Sunday and night work happens occasionally in the oil business but is not expected to happen more than once or twice per month. The truck and equipment parking areas will have yard lighting that will be designed to limit offsite impacts while providing safety and security on site. There will be a Oft x 4 ft sign at the entrance to the driveway with lighting. There will be a maximum of 8 on site employees working in the shop or office. There will be a maximum of 25 other employees with 12 of them reporting directly to jobsites from home and 13 reporting to the shop and leaving for the day in a truck to • return at the end of the day. All employees will be full time. Farming operations on the unaffected areas of the subject property will continue with the historical uses. PUBLIC WORKS The large trucks will enter and leave the property using CR 72. Oversize vehicles will proceed west to CR 29 then north or south as needed. Standard size loads will go either east or west as needed. The maximum number of truck trips per day will not exceed 40. Small vehicle traffic will involve employees coming to work and leaving and associated business traffic. Small vehicle trips per day should not exceed 80 per day. No buildings are anticipated in the flood hazard area. The drainage on the property naturally falls from north to south and is captured in existing irrigation ditches. From there it is directed into a 3 acre pond directly south of the proposed yard and parking area. That pond has an overflow pipe 12" in diameter flowing back into Coal Bank Creek. The emergency overflow is directed into irrigation ditches and then onto fields eventually flowing back to Coal Bank Creek. I have attached calculations for the Water Quality Depression provided by Heidi Hansen of public works. HEALTH DEPARTMENT The maximum number of workers working at the site during the day will be 8. 13 others will report to work in the morning and leave for the entire day, returning at night. Please • let me know if this will exceed the design provided. Vehicles will be washed on site. There is a floor drain in the shop connected to a 1,000 gallon sealed vault. All waste • generated on site is placed in a dumpster on site serviced by Gallegos Sanitation, PO Box 1986, Ft. Collins Co, 80522, 970-484-5556. All old batteries, tires, fluids and oil are recycled or returned to the vendors where purchased. Our company policy requires that any spills are reported to the supervisor and appropriate cleanup and disposal measures are taken. We propose to install an EPA approved waste oil heater in the shop to use the majority of waste oil generated. Water collected in the floor drain vault will be collected and disposed of at an approved facility. • 4>0 C°4ti], Weld County Public Works Dept. 3 ?4 HUH Street ACCESS PERMIT P.O. Box 758 _, ..
