RE: ESTABLISH DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S SALARY FOR YEARS BEGINNING
JANUARY 1, 2013, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2016
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 20-1-301, C.R.S., sets a minimum salary of $130,000.00 for the
District Attorney for every judicial district, and states that any amount paid in excess of the State
minimum salary shall be set by the Board of County Commissioners of the county or counties
comprising the judicial district, and
WHEREAS, on October 1, 2012, the Board continued the matter to October 15, 2012, to
allow additional time to conduct a work session, and
WHEREAS, on October 15, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, desires to set the salary of the District Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial District in
Weld County at $145,000.00 per annum, for the years 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to the authority set forth in Section 20-1-301, C.R.S., the
salary for the District Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial District shall be $145,000.00 per
annum, for the years 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 15th day of October, A.D., 2012.
