Dear Mr. Humphreys:
The Clerk and Recorder's Office and various divisions have
continually had water infiltration problems in the document
storage areas of the Centennial Complex because of the
ongoing construction on Phase Two.
It is the Board' s contention that the contractor should take
appropriate steps to protect those and all areas from water
infiltration. It is our understanding that the contractor
has been contacted on numerous occasions when these problems
have occurred.
The Board believes that any further water difficulties will
be the responsibility of the contractor, and we shall expect
the contractor to pay for any damages and any reproduction of
documents made necessary by the infiltration of water caused
by the construction of Phase Two.
We would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.
