RESOLUTION
RE: APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE WELD COUNTY PERSONNEL COMMIT-
TEE PURSUANT TO COUNTY GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS , in accordance with the terms of the new Weld
County Grievance Procedure, the Personnel Department has
conducted elections for four members of the Personnel Board,
one from the Centennial Center, one from Road and Bridge, one
from Human Resources, and one from the Health Department. The
Board of County Commissioners is to appoint three members, two
department heads, and one member from middle management and
further to appoint the Chairman of said Personnel Committee,
and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Personnel Department has
recommended the appointment of Tom Dority and Jerry Wones
as the department heads and Lt. Bill Hood from the Weld County
Sheriff' s Office as the middle management member of the
committee. The Personnel Director further recommended to the
Board of County Commissioners, that Jerry Wones be appointed
as Chairman of the Personnel Committee, and
WHEREAS, after review of the aforementioned recommendations ,
the Board of County Commissioners directed the appointments of
the following members :

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners that the aforementioned recommendations , be, and
hereby are, approved

and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 27th day of

Subject:Personnel Board
In accordance with the new County Grievance Procedure we have conducted elec-
tions for four members of the Personnel Board, one from the Centennial Center,
one from Road and Bridge, one from Human Resources, and one from the Health
Department.
The Board of Commissioners is to appoint three members, two department heads,
and one from middle management. In addition the Commissioners will appoint
a Chairman of the Board.
I would like to recommend to you the appointment of Tom Dority and Jerry Wones
as the department heads and Lt. Hood from the Sheriff's Office as the member
from middle management. I would further recommend you appoint Jerry Wones
as the Chairman.
As the Board of Commissioners you should also name the total Personnel Board
and their terms of office. If you accept my recommendations the Board would
be as follows.
