From: Michael Cuba [mailto:michael.cuba@tektonenergv.com] Sent: Friday, May 18, 2012 1:11 PM To: Steve Moreno Cc: Jennifer VanEgdom Subject: New Web Access Charges Dear Mr. Moreno: Please allow this note to reflect my dismay at the new public data access fees imposed by your office for Internet access. I am in the oil and gas industry which brings substantial revenue to the County through ad valorem and other taxes and fees plus the substantial economic benefits that our operations bring. The inconvenience generated by your new process far outweighs the charges and will have a significant impact on the industry's critical title verification process. Disfiguring the digital files so they are illegible online is outrageous in my mind as these are PUBLIC records. What purpose does it serve to even show that? Further I received no advance notice of this policy being implemented although I am online regularly and often in your offices. It would have been much more effective to increase the monthly ICCRIS/EagleWeb fee than to do what you have done by charging on a per document basis. This will also generate a lot of wasted printing which is not a wise ecological practice and much frustration. Michael E.
