North and south bound traffic would be stopped on CR 79 at CR 80. East and west bound traffic would be stopped on CR 79 at CR 84. The estimated traffic count for CR 79 was taken in August 2011 with an MDT of 63. CR 79 is a gravel road. The Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) section 2B.04 suggests that stop signs should be placed at an intersection of a less important road with a main road where application of the normal right-of-way rule would not be expected to provide reasonable compliance with the law. Public Works recommends that traffic be stopped on CR 79 & CR 84 in the east and west bound direction due to consistency of signage in this area. Public Works recommends that traffic be stopped on CR 79 & CR 80 in the north and south bound direction due to sight distances in this area.
