In regards to planning case USR12-0053, Francisco Ramirez, on October 16 , 2012 .
As home and land owners on CR 22 we strongly object to the issueing of another non-ag special use
permit in our area .
In the 3 to 4 years , since we finished building our home, Weld County has approved several special
use permits in our area . The biggest eye sores being , Bartez LLC , Polar Gas and JB Services . To
which several of us as land and home owners have objected and Weld Co . approved anyway .
As we feared , once one was approved it has snowballed on us and CR 22 has been the place to buy
property and get a special use permit!
We bought land and built houses in an agricultural zoned area . Because of all the special use
permits , it is a known and proven fact that our property values are decreasing and our area is
becoming less and less agriculture.
The answer to this problem is not more fences to hide the supplies and equipmentof these
businesses, it is to deny the special use permits all together. There are plenty of areas in Weld Co .
where these type of businesses fit in , and would not destroy agricultural land and out property values .
Attached are pictures of Mr. Ramirez property taken on 10/09/12. Very visable on CR22 . Also note
photo of the tank on his property with the lake behind it. Whats in the tank and purpose of it.
As home and land owners we have rights to protect our investments.
I would ask this planning commission to take a drive down Rd . 22 and personally see what you are
approving and havew approved and if you would want it by your homes .
I will be unable to attend the hearing , but would appreciate our concerns being addressed . I know we
are not in the 500 feet of this property, but if we were to sell , we are well within the "comprables
range" ! Please put an end to this in our agricultural living area .
