HomeMy WebLinkAbout20131625.tiffRESOLUTION RE: ACTION OF THE BOARD CONCERNING LEASE AGREEMENT AND AGREEMENT FOR PROVISION OF COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS SERVICES - INTERVENTION, INC. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a Lease Agreement and an Agreement for Provision of Community Corrections Services between the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Community Corrections Board, and Intervention, Inc., and WHEREAS, a hearing before the Board was held on the 26th day of June, 2013, at which time the Board deemed it advisable to continue consideration of said agreements until July 3, 2013, to allow adequate time for a potential renegotiation of terms. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the abovementioned matter be, and hereby is, continued to July 3, 2013, at 9:00 a.m. The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 26th day of June, A.D., 2013. Box 758 Greeley, CO 80632 Phone: (970) 336-7227 Fax: (970) 392-4677 Consider Lease Agreement and Agreement for the Provision of Community Corrections Services with Intervention Community Corrections Services (ICCS) and authorize Chair to sign Date: June 26, 2013 County Attorney, Bruce Barker and I have made certain updates and revisions to the two (2) above noted documents and both were presented to you and discussed at an earlier Work Session. The most notable change involves the Lease Agreement, which now includes language outlining under what conditions ICCS may use the facility as a Community Return to Custody Facility (CRCF) to house certain parole violators, not to exceed 15 beds, and as set forth in their pending independent contract with the Department of Corrections. Both agreements would go into effect on July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014. They are now before you for your final review and approval. Thank you. 2013-1625 Hello
