Attachments: Weld County - Proposed Ambulance Code Modifications - July 2013.pdf
Dear Weld County Ambulance License Holders,
The purpose of this email is to advise you of proposed modifications to the Weld County Code and the County's fee
schedule, both pertaining to Emergency Medical Services (a.k.a. ambulance licensing). Each is explained below:
PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS TO THE WELD COUNTY CODE:
The Weld County Department of Public Health & Environment is proposing modifications to Section 7 of the Weld
County Code, pertaining to Emergency Medical Services (a.k.a. ambulance licensing). The proposed modifications are
attached for your review and comment — all changes are shown in redline/strikeout fashion.
PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS TO THE FEE'S:
The Weld County Department of Public Health & Environment is proposing to amend fee's pertaining to ambulance
licensure as follows:
Current Service Fee: $100
Current Unit (ambulance) Fee: $25
Proposed Service Fee: $50
Proposed Unit (ambulance) Fee: $100
Note: Ambulance fee's have not been modified since at least 1997.
Please provide any written comments you may have to our Ambulance Licensing Coordinator, Kevin Antuna. Kevin's
email is kantuna@co.weld.co.us His mailing address is 1555 N. 17th Avenue, Greeley.
Three readings of the ordinance to adopt the modifications have been scheduled. Each of the three readings are public
hearings where public comment may be offered. The readings/hearings are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on August 12, 2013,
9:00 a.m. on September 4, 2013, and 9:00 a.m. on September 23, 2013. If approved, the effective date of the ordinance
would be October 5, 2013. The readings/hearings will be held in the main hearing room of the Weld County
Administration Building, located at 1150 0 Street, Greeley.
Fee modifications go through a slightly different process wherein one hearing is necessary. The hearing for the
proposed fee modifications has been scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on August 12, 2013 (same date as 1st reading of proposed
code modifications).
We appreciate any feedback you may have. We also encourage you to attend any of the public hearings to voice your
feedback to the County Commissioners. Should you have any questions concerning the modification process, please
contact me at the below email or phone number.
