RESOLUTION
RE: AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT FOR SAINT VRAIN RIVER AND VICINITY
MAPPING PROJECTS.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, are vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Kucera and Associates Inc. , 4690 Monaco Parkway,
Denver, Colorado 80216 have submitted an agreement whereby Weld
County is confirming the notice to proceed with portions of the
photo grammetric services as submitted in the Kucera company
proposal of March 31, 1977 to the Colorado Water Conservation
Board, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, find that it is in the best interest of Weld County to
authorize the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado to sign said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado that the Chairman of the
Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, be and
hereby is authorized to sign the agreement for the Saint Vrain
River and vicinity mapping projects with Kucera and Associates
Inc. , a copy of which is attached to this resolution for ready
reference.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 6th day of
April, A.D. , 1977.
The above and foregoing Resolution was read into the record
and signed on the 13th day of April, A.D. , 1977.

SUBJECT: Notice to Proceed with Portions of the Weld County, Colorado
St . Vrain River and Vicinity Mapping Project
By this agreement , Weld County is confirming the notice to proceed
with portions of the photogrammetric services as submitted in the Kucera
Company proposal of March 31, 1977 to the Colorado Water Conservation Boa:
(CWCB) . As discussed and modified with you at CWCB Office on April 4, 19'
with Larry Lang of the CWCB and Tom Laetz of the State Planning Office,
this project will be contracted jointly by Weld County and the CWCB.
Due to budgetary limitations of the CWCB, the project will be per-
formed under the following procedure for securing the photogrammetric ser.
vices and work to be performed:
By this agreement , Weld County is giving Kucera Company the notice
to proceed with items 1 , 2, 3, 4 , 5, 6, 7, and 8 of said proposal for
a fixed fee of Seventeen Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($17, 300. 00)
which 90% shall be payable in two unequal payments 30 days after satis-
factory completion of items 1-6 and items 7-8 thereof . The remaining
10% shall be paid upon completion of the project .
The services shall be completed by August 1 , 1977.
The Colorado Water Conservation Board ' s February 1977 "Request for
Photogrammetric Services for Floodplain Studies" is made a part of
this agreement .
The CWCB shall act as the County ' s technical representative .
Items 9-12 will be contracted for when such funds are available by
the Colorado Water Conservation Board in cooperation with Weld County.
The Board has estimated July 2, 1977, as a tentative date, should funds
be appropriated by the 1977 Colorado Legislature. Contingent upon said
funding by the Tentative date noted, service for items 9-12 shall be
completed 150 days from the date this notice to proceed agreement is
signed by both Weld County and Kucera and Associates, Incorporated.

This agreement in no way financially commits Weld County to the
remaining monies of the Weld County, Colorado St . Vrain River and
vicinity napping project .
This agreement shall extend to and be binding upon the successors
of assigns of the respective parties .

Dear Mr. Lang:
This letter regards cost-sharing the Weld County, Colorado St.
Vrain River and Vicinity Floodplain Study.
The Weld County Board of Commissioners has approved $10, 000. 00
of County General Fund monies and $10, 000. 00 of supplemental
1041 Fund monies for the purpose of studying the flood hazard
along Boulder Creek, Idaho Creek and portions of the St. Vrain
River all within Weld County, Colorado . The Board, therefore,
agrees to cost-share in this study to the amount of twenty-
thousand dollars with the Colorado Water Conservation Board.
Such monies will be paid over to the Floodplain Study consult-
ant upon completion of the project or at such time as set forth
in the notice to proceed, dated April 6, 1977, to Kuchera and
Associates, Inc.
