RE: ACKNOWLEDGE CANCELLATION OF TAX LIEN SALE CERTIFICATE
(TS CERT 2001-0257) FOR PARCEL #070713200011
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received one (1) Tax Lien Sale Certificate (TS CERT
2001-0257), for parcel #070713200011, from the office of the Weld County Treasurer, and
WHEREAS, the facts as set forth on the Certificate of Cancellation, marked Exhibit A, a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, require the cancellation of
TS CERT 2001-0257, and
WHEREAS, the facts as set forth on Exhibit A further authorize the denial of a refund to the
holder of TS CERT 2001-0257, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to acknowledge the cancellation of
the Tax Lien Sale Certificate (TS CERT 2001-0257) for the property described above and to deny a
refund to the holder of the Certificate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that cancellation of the Tax Lien Sale Certificate (TS CERT 2001-0257), on
parcel #07071320011, by the Weld County Treasurer, be, and hereby is, acknowledged.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted by
the following vote on the 6th day of February, A.D., 2013.

On NOVEMBER 8, 2001, Tax Lien Sale Certificate 2001-0257 was sold to WELD COUNTY
for the following property:
ACCOUNT: R0810986
PARCEL: 070713200011
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: ALT 18177 IMPS ONLY ON RAIL ROAD RIGHT OF
WAY, NW4NW4 13-7-66
As treasurer of Weld County, I am hereby asking for Tax Lien Sale Certificate of Purchase
number 2001-0257 to be canceled. This would result in all fees prior to 2011 including taxes,
interest, penalties and fees to be forgiven and written off. These taxes are associated with the
Farmland Industries Inc., elevator and surrounding buildings in Ault Colorado.
Farmland claimed bankruptcy and abandoned these buildings. The Union Pacific Railroad is the
owner of the land in which these buildings are located. Taxes have not been paid on these
building improvements since 1999.
An application for a Bill of Sale has been requested and agreed upon. The property has been
properly posted and the last known owner has been notified. No action has been taken to redeem
this property. This created the need of a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners to
cancel TS CERT 2001-0257.
