Subject: Multi -bid process for ammunition purchasing
As advertised in bid number B1300182, Ultramax Ammunition has the lowest bid for all of the
ammunition listed in the bid. Ultramax Ammunition's bid meets the specifications put forth in the bid
for 1300 shells of 12 gauge buckshot, 1300 shells of 12 gauge slugs, 4000 cartridges of .338 Lapua (2
types), and 3000 cartridges of .308 ammunition. The Weld County Sheriffs Office recommends that bid
number B1300182 be awarded to Ultramax Ammunition because they can provide all of the specified
ammunition at the lowest cost.
As advertised in bid number B1300185, Proforce Marketing INC placed the lowest bid for 68,000
cartridges of .223 caliber ammunition. While Proforce is the lowest bidder, the Sheriffs Office
recommends the board consider Adamson Police Products as it is the only in -county bidder and because
of previous successful purchases. Both Proforce and Adamson's bids are within the given bidding
specifications.
As advertised in bid number B1300184, Ultramax Ammunition placed the lowest bid for 62,000
cartridges of .45 caliber ammunition. While Ultramax is the lowest bidder, the Sheriffs Office
recommends the board consider Adamson Police Products as it is the only in -county bidder and because
of previous successful purchases. Both Ultramax and Adamson's bids are within the given bidding
specifications.
