HOUSING AUTHORITY
WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
OCTOBER 28, 2013
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing
Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting
in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, October 28, 2013, at the hour of
9:00 a.m.
ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following
members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner Sean P. Conway, Chair
Commissioner William F. Garcia, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer
Commissioner David E. Long
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Susan Brown
Director of Finance and Administration, Monica Mika
MINUTES: Commissioner Conway moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board
meeting of September 23, 2013, as printed. Commissioner Kirkmeyer seconded the motion, and it
carried unanimously.
REPORT:
e Tom Texeira, Director of the Greeley/Weld Housing Authority, gave an update on the NSB3
Program. In response to Commissioner Conway, Mr. Texeira said HUD has authorized the use of 15
electric trailers for 15 flood -affected families, and the existing pads need to be adapted from gas to
electric; the families were selected by FEMA, and those trailers will be available in December. He
explained the United Way's Unmet Needs Committee, determined the need and the recipients, but right
now, due to privacy rules, only FEMA has that information. He said he does know that 1,800 people
have registered with FEMA in Weld County.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted
by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
