Weld County has received one bid for this vehicle and recommends awarding the sole bidder to MHC-
KENWORTH in the amount of $227,035.00. This project received CMAQ funds, please refer to the

Dear Elizabeth:
We are pleased to inform you of our interest and intent to partner with Weld County in their
pursuit of available CMAQ funds for the purchase a mobile LNG refueler and use in building,
with community partners, a local fleet of LNG trucks sufficient to efficiently utilize that refueler
over the next couple of years. Our commitment to further this project is twofold. First, we will
purchase one or two LNG powered trucks in 2013 with the understanding that we will be
responsible for 17.21% of the total cost of the equipment with the balance being paid for by the
CMAQ funds that are currently being sought by the county. Second, we would like to offer for
lease to the county a piece of property adjacent to our new Greeley Transportation Depot for
placement of the mobile refueler. We believe this location at the intersection of CR 47 and CR
62 to be an ideal site for the refueler along what is slated to be a major transportation artery for
the county in the coming years. We are excited to be a part of this project and look forward to
the long term benefits it will bring to our member farms and to their customers.
