PROCLAMATION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
recognizes Joshua Yancy, for his thoughtful and conscientious effort to
care for other children in his community, specifically foster children in
Weld County, and
WHEREAS, Joshua actively searched for a charitable project to
participate in, and
WHEREAS, Joshua learned of a gift donation drive organized by the
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America organization at
Platte Valley High School, and
WHEREAS, Joshua donated $400 dollars to the gift donation drive
which, through the Weld County Department of Human Services,
provided Christmas gifts to approximately 80 Weld County foster
children, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is proud of Joshua's
thoughtful and generous donation which allowed Weld County foster
children to experience the joy of the season in a tangible way,
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE KNOWN that the Board of County
Commissioners does hereby proclaim its appreciation to Joshua Yancy
for his citizenship and care of other children. His efforts made a positive
difference in the lives of other children.
