HOUSING AUTHORITY
WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
DECEMBER 23, 2013
The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing
Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting
in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, December 23, 2013, at the hour of
9:00 a.m.
El ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following
members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof:
Commissioner William F. Garcia, Chair - EXCUSED
Commissioner Douglas Rademacher, Pro-Tem
Commissioner Sean P. Conway
Commissioner Mike Freeman
Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer
Also present:
County Attorney, Bruce T. Barker
Acting Clerk to the Board, Susan Brown
Director of Finance and Administration, Monica Mika
la MINUTES: Commissioner Conway moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board
meeting of November 25, 2013, as printed. Commissioner Freeman seconded the motion, and it
carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
Fi 1) CONSIDER 2013 HOUSING AUTHORITY BUDGET: Tom Texeira, Director of the
Greeley/Weld County Housing Authority, requested approval of the 2014 budget, including $267,687.00
for administration, and $2,391,119.00 for the program; he noted these are an estimate because the
Colorado budget funding cuts are not yet known and firm numbers will probably not be available until
April. Commissioner Conway moved to approve said budget. Seconded by Commissioner Freeman,
the motion carried unanimously. Commissioner Conway asked about the FEMA trailer issue. Mr.
Texiera replied he doesn't know if they have found sites for the trailers, and noted Community
Development Block Grant funding was misinformed that only 75 units were considered destroyed in
Weld County, and that has since been corrected to over 200.
Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted
by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
