Water Division 1, Water District 1
Dear Mr. Ogle:
The submitted material does not appear to qualify as a "subdivision" as defined in § 30-28-
101(10)(a), C.R.S. Therefore, pursuant to the State Engineer's March 4, 2005 and March 11, 2011
memorandums to county planning directors, this office will only perform a cursory review of the referral
information and provide comments. The comments will not address the adequacy of the water supply
plan for this property or the ability of the water supply plan to satisfy any County regulations or
requirements.
There are two parcels involved in this site plan review case. The proposal is for a mineral
resource development facility including oil and gas support and service. The water supply for the parcels
is North Weld County Water District ("District"). The site is already served domestic water by the District.
According to the Applicant, there is an agreement in place with the District to upgrade the size of the
water tap. We did not find a letter of commitment from the District in the referral materials. Therefore, we
recommend that the County verify that the District plans to serve the proposed uses.
This office considers the District to be a reliable water supply and has no objections to the
proposed site plan. If you or the applicant has any questions regarding this matter, please contact
